Cambodia Launches 2024-2028 Action Plan for Public Administration Reform

The Royal Government of Cambodia has launched the 2024-2028 Action Plan to carry out key measures for the public administration reform.

The launch took place during a meeting of the National Committee of Public Administration Reform held here at the Peace Palace this morning under the chairmanship of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.

On the occasion, the Premier laid stress on the significance to implement the key measures in public administrative reform which is the most indispensable basis to build a deliverable, dynamic and resilient public administration system.

The implementation of the key measures is a prerequisite to attain Cambodia’s vision of becoming a high-income country by 2050 as stated in the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I, he added.

For the next 25 years ahead, Cambodia will become a lively nation with robust state, good governance, and strong institutions with transparency and accountability, and serve the nation and people effectively with dynamics of stakeholder s
ystem, he continued.

The Prime Minister also stressed that public administration reform is not only the sole duty of the Ministry of Civil Service, but that of all ministries and institutions, both at the national and sub-national levels. Therefore, the active and responsible participation of all ministries and institutions is required in the spirit of ‘One Voice – One Strategy – One Plan’ to guarantee the success.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet requested and encouraged all ministries, institutions and capital-provincial administrations to continue to work in a proactive manner and to strengthen better cooperation between them.
