OECD to Further Support Cambodia with Technical Assistance

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will continue to provide technical support for Cambodia in order to realise its vision of becoming a high-income nation by 2050.

The support was underscored in the courtesy meeting between Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and H.E. Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of OECD, during his stay in Davos, Switzerland on Jan. 16 for the 54th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.

On the occasion, H.E. Mathias Cormann confirmed the position of the OECD in strengthening and expanding the cooperation with the Royal Government of Cambodia by providing technical support in building policy frameworks to achieve the vision of Cambodia as a high-income economy by 2050.

H.E. Mathias Cormann also expressed his congratulations to the Royal Government of the 7th legislature of the National Assembly for setting forth policies and goals in the economic and environmental fields.

In this regard, H.E. Mathias Cormann expressed his
confidence that under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister, Cambodia will see further development and achieve her vision.

In reply, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the OECD for supporting the Royal Government of Cambodia in reviewing policies, including trade policy and national social protection policy.
